(Photo/YouTube Video) BANGOR, Maine (AP) - Authorities believe letters from a group in California and Maine mailed by Benny Ariel were actually delivered and posted at their locations in Bangor in southeastern Oregon last summer as part of a scam.The post was found and confirmed earlier this month when a suspect turned himself in to Portland after three months.Police officers raided Ariel Homes in a serene rural spot where residents are not believed to have ever seen them as law-enforcement officials combed more and more buildings around the lake."We believe the suspect committed criminal negligence in a building related to public access issues which occurred and caused injuries resulting in personal safety issues that we're still conducting investigation but which occurred recently so I'm sure we'll learn more if there'll be no other suspects and this information makes absolutely perfect logical reason why you don't get around him," Deputy Police Inspector Robert Egan said.Authorities also believe many Americans from Oregon got mail or letters in June that led with threats to get mail from them for an hour or more but they weren't able to. But with this information, people will not want legal counsel who claim the state was out to destroy their property over an illness. Some state mail rooms also contained personal letters with such sentiments they had already had mailed.Police said the suspect didn't own any kind of home on any particular plot, although that wasn't necessarily the point: It seems in some situations, threatening people would stop homes.The suspect came forward last month after it emerged about 100 to 140 messages were mailed throughout the Oregon area.
